[ When he arrives, the first thing he does is check out his room. He's never spent much time on a ship, except for That Time and really that was only five minutes of not having much fun, so he's relieved to find that it looks like his room back home. Weirdly so, as a matter of fact. Not something he has the time or the inclination to worry about, though, not yet. ]
[ He makes his way from the bottom to the top of the Barge, walking like he's got an agenda, a timetable, somewhere he has to be in five minutes, he swears. He spends a little extra time in Zero, sure, but he doesn't linger long even there, just long enough to confirm his suspicions: not somewhere he ever wants to be again. 8's boring; 7 just has the art room, which he doesn't know what to do with; 6 has the pool table, which - another day, maybe. 5 gives him a little pause - it seems like the kind of place Hank or Charles would appreciate, but despite its size it's a little stifling, so he walks on. 4 - gym, noted. A little bit louder than he's used to, but noted. 3's boring, 2 isn't relevant, and 1 is the dining hall. That's big, too. ]
[ None of it's as big as the deck, from which he retreats after a few short minutes to the library. It's the lesser of several evils, and he finds a book that he can focus on while he sits and thinks. He doesn't end up reading much, though. There were a lot more cabins than he was expecting, and he doesn't know what to think about that. ]

[ About half an hour after he makes his way back to his room, he's kind of got a handle on this. Kind of. Still, he's using voice and not video because that's sort of like a phone. Ish. ]
All the amenities here, huh? Nothing out of place. [ It's supposed to be a joke, but that's the only one you're getting, because there are a couple things missing. ]
So, Alex Summers, I'm - a Warden.
[ For whatever that's worth. He pauses, vital information transmitted, and tries to figure out how to communicate the rest of it. ]
Or will be. I guess it's a title that doesn't mean anything right now. [ That's as good as you're getting, Barge. Okay, he changed his mind, back to joking, that's less awkward. ] Who plays pool on this ship?
